So Yes with the help of :iconsilvolf: (thank you so so much) I was able to fill out my own inspiration meme that I've been seeing all over the place though this was stolen after seeing :iconc-puff: do her own. Though I kinda really suck at this and so Silvolf was more than happy to help. Anyways let me show you what inspires me or has inspired me. Though there's actually..a lot this is what is currently inspiring me.

And this will become a bit apparent to everyone when I tell you about a comic I've been working on and all these play big parts in it.

Also i can't believe I forgot Hunter S. Thompson, to that he gets an honorable mention, so does William S. Burroughs, Andy Kaufman, and Ayn Rand for having previously inspired my writings and art work.

1. J.D. Salinger: He's a current inspiration and it's mostly his Glass Family stories, not so much Catcher in the Rye. However the novel Franny and Zooey and his short story collections have been helping me shape my own work and may very well shape my style in pictures to come, in it's own way. Still he remains influential to me, especially with dysfunctional families and people.

2. Harold and Maude: Actually yes, this movie means a lot to me cause it cheered me up in a pretty depressing period of my life. That said the characters and story has since influenced me. I've been meaning to draw something related to this but I'm not sure if I will any time soon, maybe. But yes the quirky contrast of characters and the comedy of it still has made a big impact on me.

3. Quality TV: Shown here by Archie Bunker where I do consider All in the Family to be quality TV and for that matter I hold a lot of Norman Lear's work to be pretty influential (All in the Family, Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, uuhh Good Times, Maude even) but this isn't limited to Normal Lear, Twins Peaks, Carnivale, The Cosby Show, Hogan's Heroes, and hell even Roseanne has some sway. They've all made some impact on me and shapes my own creations.

4. Wes Anderson: people who hear me talk about movies know that I practically worship the ground Wes Anderson walks on haha, he's just so good! The detail of his characters, the background, subject matter, and overall style has become something of an inspiration to me. He's fantastic and while I wish I could put a whole slew of directors up here he currently is one of the ones who holds sway over my current creative tastes but believe me I may have silvolf help me out with a literary and director version of his XD

5. Ralph Bakshi: Again his work has been impressive but his art style and art subject matter is what's inspired what I've drawn in the past, druggies, disturbed people, etc, etc. His earliest movies have been the most influential such as Fritz the Cat, Coonskin, and Heavy Traffic have put their mark on my artwork in the past and even to this day.

6. Robert Crumb: Yeah his art style again has been an influence though less so than it used to. Still I love what the man does and i still admire his comics and art style. He's also fun to draw as well.

7. Harvey Pekar and American Splendor:This is a very recent inspiration but it's strong enough to add on this list because everyday life is pretty inspirational to me. I'm also pissed off they news STILL made no coverage over his recent death.

8. Kurt Vonnegut:anyone who has OC'd with me knows that I am BOUND to eventually draw Kurt Vonnegut at some point in the OC whether anthro or human XD I just like drawing the guy not to mention his books are some of my all time favorites!

9. Iris Murdoch: she's relatively new to me but nonetheless her two novels (Under the Net and A Fairly Honorable Defeat) have really put some things into perspective, not to mention makes me laugh out loud cause they are pretty funny if you catch the humor. Also the sheer amounts of symbolism she puts in her novels is astounding and kind of fun to pick out and I might incorporate that into furuture writings and artwork...probably not XD but maybe.

10. William Faulkner and Southern Gothic: Ok I haven't put much artwork or literature influenced by this guy but believe me it is there and I might add some eventually. That said the Stream of consciousness style of Faulkner's literature definitely has been a major influence on my writing style for anyone who has read any of my stuff, especially the recent stuff. I love getting into someone's mind and putting their thoughts on paper.

11. Coen Brother movies: Yes, yes, yes, quirky characters, completely evil characters, sons of bitches and assholes, good guys, and etc of mine have certainly had SOME roots related to a Coen Brothers movie even if it was uninteitonal and I've chose H.I. McDounngah (cant ever remember how to spell his name) is who I choose to represent that. This goes for all their movies...cept the ones I haven't seen as well as The Ladykillers...I didn't like that one.

12. Woody Allen: Yeah the comedy and films of Woody Allen has a mark on me. I love the neurotic people that he lays in contrast to the rest of the world, especially Alvy Singer from Annie Hall which might be my favorite Wood allen movie. Despite what you think of him he's still something to me, sometimes i can relate to them too heeeh.

13. A Christmas Story: yeah this movie has meant something to me for a long long time, I even have a poster of it hanging up on my wall but the struggles of this one kid to get his Red Ryder BB gun amuse me to no end and a lot of the comedy and the hopes of that movie reflect to myself and remind me a bit of my life at times.

14. Frank Zappa: Yes, yes the music this man has made has been something that has had this stranglehold on me. The zaniness of his work has reflected onto my work even if i haven't draw anything related to him. My earlier stuff especially and my drive to do what I want even if it wasn't the hottest thing (artwise) stemmed from me listening to a lot of Zappa in high school.

15. Existentialism: shown here by Jean Paul Sartre, yeah the question of life and existence has certainly played a part in the creation of a lot of my characters. Not my art so much but those of you who roleplay with me probably have seen bits and peices of existentialism show up there. As well as my stories. Also I loved the novel Nausea so here this just goes to show.

16. Humor and Comedy: represented by Groucho Marx. I like to make people laugh, whether it's in art, writing, or myself. I love to make people laugh or draw and write comedy and if it makes at least one person laugh then it was all worth it.

17. Political figures: From the beginning political people, not really politics themselves, have been something of importance to me and every so often it'll creep back. Like when I drew FDR for my grandfather's birthday (for who he is named after) Also they just interest me for that matter hah, world leaders and the such.

18. History: Yeah totally! History is incredibly important to me and to this day I draw from it for a lot of things and reference it a lot of the time! History rocks and it's important that people know it!

19. Psychonauts: HELL YES, this game works, the design rocks, the writing rocks, the characters rock, and every single facet of this game is awesome. Doctor Bollocks was originally a Dr.Loboto clone even, which NO one ever ever saw and will ever see ever. That said you'll find me quote it and the bright colors and style has been a heavy influence over me from the day I bought it and it shall always forever be GREAT.

20. Stanley Kubrick: shown by Dr.Strangelove. Yeah if you guys can remember I once did a whole slew of pictures based off of Kubrick movies. Well still to the day Kubrick holds a grip on my imagination and every so often I'll make a reference to it, Dr.Strangelove especially being the funniest.

21. Films in general: i know im going to mention movies past this but YES, all movies are an influence, all my favorite ones and Citizen Kane is acting as my picture of choice. Movies influence my writing and my art and forever will do so.

22. Little Miss sunshine: Woo another film, boy you guys must be getting tired of movies but seriously Little Miss Sunshine is a great movie and it plays on my characters, especially the dysfunctional ones which is a majority of mine. And more to come I am sure.

23. Philosophy: shown here by Wittgenstein. While existentialism is important to my work so is other philosophy and I am a half philosophy major. This is important to me as well so I used the most influential philosopher of the 20th century, apparently, to illustrate that.

24. Music: Yes! of course, i always listen to music while I draw and 9/10 it influences me to do more or get my groove while i draw. It's perfect and I love doing it. Also if you can actually guess where that pictures comes from, congrats!

25. Romance: why yes that is one pretty good kiss, though maybe not the best ;) But yes, people who know me know I love romances and know that I love roleplaying romance and adding some elements to it in certain things. Also I love a good love story, love it.

26. Religion: yeah you dont see Religion much in my stuff but you will see parts of it. Redemption, salvation, forgivenes, ideals usually attirbuted to religion you'll see in my art and it plays a part in my life as I do believe in a God and I do go to church.

27. Garrison Keillor: I'm an old man , I LOVE Praire Home Companion and the movie was pretty good too. I love the style, i love how it's set up, it's so good and sometimes I find myself doing artwork to it, plus Keillor himself is an interesting man.

28. Graphic Novels and comics: oh yes, I don't read many and I am incredibly picky but those I read I like a lot. Like Jhonen Vasquez's work in the past, Watchmen shown here, American Splendor, online comics like Trying human and Pompficiton, and stuff i'm looking into like the Scott Pilgrim comics. I love them and they fuel me which is leading me to work on my own. To all you comic book authors and artists, you guys ROCK

29. Do the Right Thing: god yes, ever since I saw this movie it meant something to me. It's one of my all time favorites and the relations and in depth writing and characters speak to me, the struggles and diversity is something I like to put into my own writing and Spike Lee at his finest.

30. Science Fiction: Hell to the fucking yes, I LOVE putting elements of science ficiton in s much of my stuff, I love it to deth, always have and always will because anything is possible and I love role playing sci-fi situations. Hell yes it is awesome

31. David Lynch: the surrealism and mystery of Lynch's work has totally been in my art work, you'll see it a lot, in my paintings, whenever I use blues, in so much of my work. I love Lynch and he's been influencing my work for years now, brilliant man go see Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet.

32. Heroes: Shown by Hulk Hogan, the 80's Hogan. Why not? He was the good guy, the best wrestler, undefeated, kicking around the likes of Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant, and Macho Man Randy, and that's why I have him representing Heroes. But this goes to any hero, this goes ti Atticus Finch, this goes to John Wayne characters, Rocky Balboa, this is to any hero out there, anti hero good guy, troubled guy, heroes are influential to me and have always been. Heroic stories, literature and movie, they good guy is someone you sometimes relate to even if the lines are blurred.

33. Villians: shown here by Reverend Harry Powell from Night of the Hunter. With every hero there is a villain and the villains are equally as important to me, vile people, even if misunderstood fall in here. Exploring the mind of a villain is intricate a fun, discovering why they did this, who did they get here, it's something I like exploring. In turn any of them are as important as the hero to me.

34. Animation: yes animation, cartoons to movies, have been important/. I used Fantastic Mr.Fox here cause well I love that movie. Still animated movies are things Ive been watching from birth and cartoons I still watch today. Whether is be Fantastic Mr.Fox or Fritz the Cat, Ren and Stimpy or Chowder, it's still important and influential depending on how well it's done.

35. Pop Culture: shown here by Ferris Bueller, well yes pop culture has and I'm not talking gossip. i'm talking the cult movies, nerd culture, "geek" culture, critics, reviewrs, gamers, trends throughout the ages, what we quote, what we watch, literature, pop culture is big to me, not all of it of course otherwise i'd be reading Twilight and watching Glee(which i sure as hell dont XD), but it still is important to my art work and what I do.

36. Friends, family, ordinary life: represented by a Normal Rockwell painting. Yup, you guys are influential to me, my firends and even good acquientices (some) play some part in my art and my writing, you guys are incredibly important t me. My family does too, very much so, for they keep me going, and ordianry life which just has so much stuff in it even if i'm not an outgoing guy XD the super market has a lot going for it even if you don't notice it.

Anyways this is my infleunces, this is a lot to read and if you did read it then hooray! I'm glad you did ^^ This was fun to do and I may do another one later one. Still thanks for reading and taking a gander!

Everyone belongs to themselves.
